Take a moment to look at the things around you; look at the things you fill your home with; look at the furniture you surround yourself with, and think about it. Where does it come from? How was it made? What does it say about you? How long will it last?
Hopefully the things that you collect and use everyday were made somewhere with fair employment laws. Hopefully it was made by craftspeople with a passion for making, and who take pride in using eco-friendly materials and processes. Hopefully, if anyone asks you about your beautiful things, there is a story you can tell that you are proud of.
Maybe that’s a story of how the boards of your table are all reclaimed from pallets or an old barn. Maybe it’s a story about supporting local artisans by purchasing their hand-crafted work. Maybe the only story you need to tell anyone is that you found that one-of-a-kind piece at a local market and bought it simply because it’s beautiful and unique and it makes your home feel special.
Hopefully that story you tell will be recounted for generations to come, because your furniture was built to last.
If you are the kind of person who cares about “crazy” ideas like being environmentally friendly, supporting local business, and investing in enduring quality rather than mass produced dumpster fodder, then you may want to check us out. We are a small company working hard to upcycle wood furniture, re-imagine uses for the parts we cannot fix, and to design and build original furniture from reclaimed wood and wood that has been responsibly harvested from local forests.
We care about the quality of our work, the community, and the environment. If these things are important to you too, we’d love to talk to you about whatever we might be able to build for you.
