This cabinet was neither antique, nor particularly interesting, but I figured a chalk paint overhaul would do it some good. I added chalkboards to the inside panels so it could work as a dart board cabinet, or place for reminders if used as a medicine cabinet. Paint: Folk Art tuscan red and oatmeal; and chalkboard paint.
This was one of the first pieces I chalk painted. Matt was tasked with fixing a wobbly leg and and ill fitting drawer…after I had already painted the table. Whoops! I struggled a bit with this piece because I didn’t sand or prime it, and whatever was used to finish it previously kept bleeding through the paint. I replaced the drawer pull with a shiny new one, and used Folk Art chalk paint in tuscan red.
I spotted this cute little outdoor table when I had the jeep all loaded up and everyone in tow for a family vacation in Texas. We had to stop and get it, then bring it back home before heading to the airport. Sorry guys! I used Benjamin Moore Aura (exterior paint) in passion plum that I had used to paint my front door. Yes, you read that right…I’m THAT neighbour.
