Antique End Tables

Painted table

My mom brought me these two amazing antique end tables. They were sanded, painted with ASCP in country grey, and Folk Art chalk paint in rich black, and then antique waxed.

Bedside Table

Painted and refinished side table

This cute little bedside table had been in the spare bedroom at my parents house, and was previously painted an atrocious shade of emerald green. It got an update with a sanded and stained top and ASCP in country grey.

Dining Chair

Painted and reupholstered chair

Reupholstered with fun fabric, this old chair got a much needed overhaul. Painted with Folk Art rich black and castle chalk paint.

Antique Table

This is by far one of my favourite pieces. I sanded and stained the top using Minwax PolyShades espresso satin stain. The base was pained with Folk Art chalk paint in sheepskin, distressed, and antique waxed. What a beauty!

Cabinet

Upcycled and painted cupboard

This cabinet was neither antique, nor particularly interesting, but I figured a chalk paint overhaul would do it some good. I added chalkboards to the inside panels so it could work as a dart board cabinet, or place for reminders if used as a medicine cabinet. Paint: Folk Art tuscan red and oatmeal; and chalkboard paint.

Green and white bedside table

This cute little bedside table desperately needed some love. New nickel drawer pulls, and Folk Art chalk paint in oatmeal and spanish moss made a huge difference. Voila!

Little red antique table

Painted end table

This was one of the first pieces I chalk painted. Matt was tasked with fixing a wobbly leg and and ill fitting drawer…after I had already painted the table. Whoops! I struggled a bit with this piece because I didn’t sand or prime it, and whatever was used to finish it previously kept bleeding through the paint. I replaced the drawer pull with a shiny new one, and used Folk Art chalk paint in tuscan red.

Purple Outdoor Table

Painted outdoor table

I spotted this cute little outdoor table when I had the jeep all loaded up and everyone in tow for a family vacation in Texas. We had to stop and get it, then bring it back home before heading to the airport. Sorry guys! I used Benjamin Moore Aura (exterior paint) in passion plum that I had used to paint my front door. Yes, you read that right…I’m THAT neighbour.

China Cabinet

China cabinet before and after painting

This was one of my first projects after moving into my new home in 2013. The kitchen cabinets are dark espresso, so my knotty pine china cabinet looked out of place. For this project I used Behr interior eggshell paint in espresso beans.

Tiered Display Shelf

Chalk painted with Folk Art oatmeal and then decoupaged, this tiered display shelf comes in handing to display items when vending.
