Refinished furniture

Dining Set

I picked up this dining set from a local painter for a fantastic deal. The table top was stained and scratched, the leather on the chairs was cracking, and it definitely needed a face-lift. I sanded and stained the table top, reupholstered the chairs, and painted the table base and chairs. I gave it a chippy look using light grey chalk paint, but then glazed the painted surfaces with an antiquing glaze to give them a more aged look.

End table

Painted and refinished side table

This adorable little end table had the solid maple top refinished in an espresso stain, and the base painted with Folk Art oatmeal chalk paint. Lightly distressed, waxed, and viola!

Church Window Frame

Church window frame - repair and refinish

This magnificent old church window frame had been banged about during transportation, leaving gouges and uneven stain. Matt repaired it, re-stained it, and mounted it using french cleats. It turned out beautifully.

Custom Refinished Coffee Table

Refinished coffee table

This old wood coffee table was given new life with a custom facelift. Unfortunately I forgot to take a picture of it before I sanded it. After sanding and stripping, it was tinted with Folk Art grey wood tint, and washed with a blend of Aspire inspire and endless to give it a rustic look.

Pedestal End Tables

Painted and refinished end table

These two adorable solid oak end tables were sanded and the tops were restained with Valspar wood stain in kona. The bases were painted with Folk Art chalk paint in nantucket blue, and antique waxed.

Bedside Table

Painted and refinished side table

This cute little bedside table had been in the spare bedroom at my parents house, and was previously painted an atrocious shade of emerald green. It got an update with a sanded and stained top and ASCP in country grey.

Antique Table

Painted and refinished table

This is by far one of my favourite pieces. I sanded and stained the top using Minwax PolyShades espresso satin stain. The base was pained with Folk Art chalk paint in sheepskin, distressed, and antique waxed. What a beauty!

Deacon’s Bench

Refinished deacons bench

This Deacon’s bench was another knotty pine piece that didn’t fit in to the new home decor, so I used Minwax PolyShades satin espresso stain to give it new life.
